The levels of progress at Our Lady and St Bede continue to be some of the highest in the North-east of England.
The school’s progress rate for 2019 was 0.40. This means that, on average, every single pupil achieved nearly half a grade higher in each GCSE than expected. This new government measure is the new ‘gold standard’ for judging the success of all schools and it reflects the fact that all pupils at Our Lady and St Bede achieve significantly higher grades across all their GCSEs.
When the attainment of the school is measured, some of the highlights include these pass rates (grades 9-4):
|English 90%||Maths 86%||RE 85%||Science 90%|
|History 81%||Geography 78%||Astronomy 100%||Polish 100%|
|Art 90%||PE 95%||BTEC PE 100%||Spanish 77%|
